Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is gearing up to launch a new product on 8th August 2022. The company has released a teaser stating “The Formidable” coming soon. While the two-wheeler maker remains tight lipped about the upcoming model, it’s likely to be the Honda Forza 350 maxi scooter. If launched, the model will be sold via Honda BigWing dealerships across the nation. For people not in the know, the Forza 125 and Forza 350 are already sold in the European and select global markets.
The global-spec Honda Forza 125 comes with a 124cc engine that’s good enough for 8.14bhp and 10.3Nm. The Forza 350, on the other hand, features a 329cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. It produces a peak power of 20.2PS and 31.5Nm of torque. For performing suspension duties, the scooter has a telescopic fork at front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It gets front and rear disc brakes.
The Forza 350 has been assembled with the 15-inch front and 14-inch rear alloy wheels with 120 and 140-section tubeless tyres respectively. It comes with the dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) and traction control system. The model lineup includes two variants – Standard and Roadsync. The latter one has been equipped with Honda’s Roadsync technology offering access to Honda Smartphone Voice Control System.
In terms of features, the Honda Forza 350 offers a digital display placed between twin-pod analogue instrument console, function keys, USB charging socket in the glove box, emergency stop signal (ESS), an electrically adjustable windscreen, all LED lighting system and underseat storage space.
Official details of the new Honda scooter will be revealed early next month. The Forza 350, if launched in India, is expected to cost around Rs 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom). That means, it will be significantly a cheaper deal than the BMW C 400 GT maxi scooter that costs Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
