Honda CR-V Special Edition Launched at Rs 29.49 Lakh – What’s New?

Honda Cars India has rolled out a special edition of its flagship CR-V SUV in the country. Called the Honda CR-V Special Edition, the new model has been priced at Rs 29.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the regular model, the limited edition is around Rs 1.23 lakh more expensive. The SUV’s special edition receives a few cosmetic and feature upgrades over the standard version. Buyers have five colour options to choose from, namely, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic and Platinum White Pearl. At the front end, the special edition carries new full LED headlamps, DRLs with active cornering lights, newly-designed bumper and LED fog lamps. The large chrome finished grille has been replaced with the glossy black unit. The model also comes with newly-designed diamond cut 18-inch alloy wheels, hands-free power tailgate and updated rear bumper.

Interior has also been revised with a pack of new features. The Honda CR-V Special Edition receives 4-way power assistant passenger seat, door mirror auto retractable and front parking sensors. Other key features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, brand’s lane watch camera, a panoramic sunroof and many more. On the safety front, it has six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill launch assist, electronic parking brake, electronic stability control, brake assist, driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, emergency stop signal, etc.

Powering the new Honda CR-V Special Edition is the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine that pushes out a peak power of 152bhp at 6,500rpm and 189Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. For performing transmission duties, it has a CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatic unit.
