Honda CB350 Based Adventure Bike Design Leaked

In the recent times, we have witnessed several new adventure motorcycles including the Himalayan 450 and Yezdi Adventure. It seems Honda is also planning to enter the adventure motorcycle segment with an all-new single-cylinder motorcycle. The Japanese two-wheeler maker has filed a design patent for an adventure motorcycle based on its CB350 neo-retro bike platform. The patent images reveal that the motorcycle’s silhouette is inspired from the older Royal Enfield Himalayan 411.

The patent images reveal both an unfaired scrambler and a retro adventure-style motorcycle, both having similar tank and tail design. However, both models have differently styled front. The Adventure bike has Himalayan-like ruggedness with external crashbars and luggage racks mounted on the tank. These patents represent technical aspects of the motorcycle, which appears very similar to the one offered on the CB350.

The Honda’s entry-level Adventure motorcycle features a more angular, modern design for the fuel tank. The tank has bolt-on racks on either side to provide protection and luggage capacity. The motorcycle has a front fairing, which has its own protective structure that extends up and over the headlight.

The new Honda CB350 based Adventure motorcycle will be based on the cradle chassis that houses a 348cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 20.78bhp and a peak torque of 30Nm. The motorcycle has telescopic front forks with long travel and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The patent shows wire-spoke wheels, single sweptback exhaust and headlight guard.
