Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the new Xtreme 125R motorcycle at the Hero World 2024 event in Jaipur. The bike is offered in two variants – IBS and ABS – with prices starting at Rs 95,000 for the IBS variant and Rs 99,500 for the ABS variant (ex-showroom). Direct competitors in the market include the TVS Raider 125 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, with the Xtreme 125R positioned slightly higher in pricing compared to the Honda SP 125. The motorcycle is set to be available at all Hero dealerships starting from February 20, 2024.

Powering the new Xtreme 125R is a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 11.5bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, and Hero claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 66kmpl. The bike features a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a pre-load adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear for suspension. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and rear drum/disc brakes, with the higher variant exclusively equipped with single-channel ABS, while the entry-level IBS version features Hero’s CBS setup.
The new Hero Xtreme 125R boasts a full LED lighting system and a unique LCD screen. Its design and styling seem to draw inspiration from the Xtreme 200S, featuring a low-slung full LED headlight, a robust fuel tank, split seat setup, and a uniquely designed rear section. The bike is available in three color options – Blue with Silver, Red with Black, and Black.
In addition to the new Xtreme 125R, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled the Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle at the same event. The Mavrick 440, sharing engines, platform, and features with the Harley-Davidson X440, is set to go on sale in February 2024. It will be available in three variants and offered in five different paint schemes.
