Hero Glamour Xtec Leaked Online: Key Features, Top Changes

Hero MotoCorp had registered the XTEC nameplate in December 2020. It was rumoured to be the company’s first electric motorcycle; however, it is now revealed that the XTEC moniker will be used as a suffix to a new range of Glamour. The Hero Glamour XTEC will come with feature upgrades and new features.

The Glamour Xtec will be the top-end variant. It won’t receive any mechanical changes. In terms of changes, the new motorcycle gets three new colour options. These new colours adopt a dark theme finished in matte colours. The new colour options include Tecno Black, Grey Blue and Grey Red.

The Hero Glamour Xtec Techno Black option comes with a white strip across the panels and wheel rims. The Grey Blue and Grey Red colour options will be offered with blue and red strips respectively. The new strips running across the grey panels of the bike along with Blue and red colour shades on rims.

In terms of features, the Glamour Xtec comes fitted with new LED headlamp and a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The console shows tachometer, speedometer, odometer, gear position indicator, service due indicator and others. The bike will get i3S technology with Start/Stop feature. The Xtec motorcycle is also expected to get Auto Sail technology, which is basically a Crawl assist.

It is reported that the Xtec is a new technology equipped with the engine. I will be powered by a 124.7cc fuel injected engine that is expected to produce 10.72bhp of power and a peak torque of 10.6Nm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle weighs 122kg, and has a fuel tank of 10 litres.

The new Hero Glamour Xtec is based on a diamond-type frame. For suspension duties, the bike gets a telescopic front forks and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle is likely to get front disc brake.
