BMW iX1 Electric SUV Sold Out For 2023 On First Day Of Launch

BMW has launched the iX1 electric SUV in our market at Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand’s most affordable electric SUV has been completely sold out for 2023 within a few hours. The BMW iX1 is the fourth electric vehicle from the German automaker. It will rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQB, Kia EV6 and the Volvo XC40 Recharge, which are priced at Rs 77.50 lakh, Rs 60.95 lakh and Rs 56.9 lakh respectively.

The first fully electric BMW iX1 comes fitted with a 66.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a dual-electric motor setup & All-wheel drive layout. The combined power and torque stands at 313bhp and 494Nm respectively. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 100kmph acceleration in just 5.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 180kmph. The electric SUV is claimed to offer a range of up to 440km on a single charge.

BMW iX1 Features

The SUV supports DC fast charging up to 130kW, and the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 29 minutes. The battery can be fully charged using a standard 11kW AC charger in 6.3 hours. In terms of proportions, the new iX1 electric SUV is 4500mm long, 1845mm wide and 1642mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2692mm. The SUV offers a boot space of 490-litres, which can be extended to 1495-litres by folding the rear seats.
