The German automaker has rolled out the BMW 220i Black Shadow Edition in India. The model has been priced at Rs 43.50 lakh (ex-showroom), thus making it around Rs 1.60 lakh more expensive than the standard 220i M Sport variant. The company is also offering BMW Individual high-gloss shadow line package and M Performance parts cost Rs 3.25 lakh. Since it’s a limited edition, only 24 units will be sold on the BMW Online Shop.
The BMW 220i Black Shadow Edition comes in two colour schemes – Black Sapphire and Alpine White along with two upholstery options – Sensatec Black and Sensatec Oyster. On the exterior, it features a black mesh-style M front grille, black ORVMs, 18-inch M Performance Y-spoke forged alloy wheels in Jet black matte with floating hub, M Performance rear spoiler and black chrome exhaust tips.
Sporty treatment continues inside the cabin as well. The new 220i Black Shadow limited edition offers Sport seats with electrical memory function, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and gesture control, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, illuminated trim, reversing assistant and parking assistant with rear view camera.
Under the hood, the BMW 220i Black Shadow edition employs a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The gasoline motor makes a top power of 189bhp at 5,000rpm and 280Nm between 1,350rpm – 4,600rpm. The model offers three driving modes – Eco, Pro, Comfort and Sport. It also gets cruise control with braking function, shift paddles and launch control.
