BMW Group India has launched the new BMW 220i M Performance edition (petrol only) at Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the limited edition is exclusively available at the BMW Online shop. The new model is around Rs 50,000 more expensive than the 220i M Sport Pro trim.
The BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition is available in the Black Sapphire metallic paint. The upholstery available in Sesatec Oyster I Black. The BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition comes with an elongated silhouette and frameless doors. It has M Performance Front Grille, Fog lamp inserts and ORVMs in Cerium Grey. The angled full LED headlights form the prominent BMW four-eyed face and the full-LED tail-lights extend into the centre of the rear. The M Performance stickers are placed on the side profile.
Inside the cabin, the new BMW 2 Series M Performance gets a panoramic glass sunroof, Alcantara Gear Selector Lever, M Performance Door Pin & Door Projector, BMW Sport Seats with electrical memory function, 40/20/40 split rear seat, and an ambient lighting with six dimmable designs. It comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, a 10.25-inch Control display, BMW Head-Up display, BMW Gesture technology, HiFi loudspeaker system, parking assistant with rear view camera, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay and others.
It comes fitted with six airbags, attentiveness assistance, anti-lock braking system with brake assist, dynamic stability control including traction control, cornering brake control, electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors, and others.
Powering the BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition is a 2.0L four-cylinder Twin-Turbo petrol engine that produces 176bhp and 280Nm of torque at 1350-4600rpm. It accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 7.1 seconds. The seven-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission comes with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It comes with Launch Control & cruise control with braking function. It offeres 3 driving modes – ECO Pro, Comfort and Sport.
