Benelli TRK 251, the new entry-level adventure motorcycle from the Italian two-wheeler maker, has been launched in the country. The model has been priced at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus making it the most affordable Benelli offering in India. At this price point, it takes directly on the Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 250 Adventure. While its bookings have already been commenced at an initial sum of Rs 6,000, deliveries will begin in coming days.

– For power, the new TRK 251 uses the same engine that does duty in the Benelli Leoncino 250. That means, it has a 250cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 25.8PS at 9,250rom and 21.1Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
– The company says that the Benelli TRK 251 is an affordable, high performance adventure tourer that comes with “purposeful design, aggressive styling, ultra-comfortable ergonomics and engaging performance”.
– The new Benelli adventure bike comes equipped with the front upside down telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension at the front and rear axles respectively. The braking duties are done by a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc brake along with the standard ABS .
– It has a ground clearance of 170mm and offers a fuel tank capacity of 18-litres. Its overall length and height stand at 2070mm and 1300mm respectively. The bike has a pilot seat height of 800mm and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road-focused tyres.
– Buyers have three colour options to choose from – Glossy Black, Glossy White and Glossy Grey.
– Its design and styling seems inspired by the TRK 502. It features circular twin LED projectors at the front end along with a transparent windscreen, a robust beak, and a tail rack.
