Audi India is gearing up to celebrate this year’s festive season with the launch of a special edition of its flagship SUV, the Q8. This new edition will be available in limited numbers nationwide and comes with a price tag of Rs 1.18 Crore. Compared to the standard version, the special edition is nearly Rs 11 lakh more expensive. Let’s delve into what makes the Audi Q8 limited edition so unique.
Audi offers the Q8 limited edition in three color options: Glacier White, Mythos Black, and Daytona Grey. Buyers also have the choice of S-Line and Black styling packages, which include blacked-out elements such as the front grille, Matrix LED headlamps, roof rails, and wing mirrors. The standard feature package includes a four-zone climate control system, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and 21-inch alloy wheels with a graphite grey finish.
Inside the cabin, the new Audi Q8 limited edition boasts a dual touchscreen setup – a 10.1-inch screen for the infotainment system and an 8.5-inch unit for HVAC controls. Additionally, it features an Audi virtual cockpit, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, 8 airbags, a rearview camera, electronic stability program, and more.
Under the hood, no changes have been made. The Audi Q8 limited edition retains the same 3.0L turbo petrol engine, delivering a robust 340bhp and 500Nm of torque. The engine benefits from a 48V mild hybrid technology, and transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Audi claims that the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph.
It’s worth noting that the German luxury carmaker recently unveiled the Audi Q8 facelift for global markets. This updated model features subtle design and feature enhancements, including a redesigned front grille with new L-shaped inserts, revised front bumper air intakes, new headlamps with HD Matrix LED units, updated LED DRLs, new wheel designs, and digital OLED rear lights. Inside, the seat upholstery features new inlay patterns and stitching, and there are new interior color schemes, an expanded app store, updated driver assistance systems, and a 360-degree camera.
