Audi Q2 SUV – Top 8 Things You Should Know

The long-awaited Audi Q2 SUV will soon be launched in the Indian market, as the pre-bookings have already started. Interested buyers can book the Q2 at Audi dealer or online by paying a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. This SUV won’t have a direct rival in our market and will sit below the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

1. Five Years Comprehensive Warranty – Audi’s smallest SUV, the Q2 will come with a comprehensive 5 year warranty and roadside assistance. Customers will receive a complimentary 3 year extended warranty along with the standard 2 year cover.

2. MQB Platform – The new Audi Q2 SUV is based on the Volkswagen Group’s versatile MQB platform, which also underpins the Q3. This platform is widely used to develop a wide range of products under Volkswagen, Skoda, SEAT and Audi.

3. Dimensions – In terms of proportions, the new Audi Q2 SUV is 4,191mm long, 1,794mm wide (2,009mm with mirrors) and 1,508mm tall. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,601mm, while the ground clearance stands at 200mm. The Q2 has a kerb weight of 1,205kg. The luggage capacity stands at 405-liters and can be extended up to 1050-liters by folding its rear 40:20 folding rear seat.

4. Engine Specifications – The India-spec Audi Q2 SUV is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 190bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro AWD (all-wheel-drive system). It is capable of achieving 0-100kmph in just 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 228kmph.

Interior – Inside the cabin, the brand’s smallest SUV gets MMI Navigation Plus infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument console, wireless charging, powered seats, etc. The car’s virtual cockpit with head-up display can be customized by the driver. The premium cabin has contrasting stitching, soft-touch plastics and leather trims.

8. Colours – the 2021 Audi Q2 is available in 5 exterior colour options – Arrow Gray, Apple Green, Manhattan Gray, Turbo Blue and Navarra Blue.
