Ather 450X New Base Variant Costs Rs 98,079 – What’s On Offer?

Ather Energy has rolled out a new base variant of its popular 450X electric scooter at Rs 98,079 (ex-showroom). The company has also offered the e-scooter model lineup with a ProPack that costs an addition Rs 30,000. The package includes lots of features including fast charging. The new Ather 450X base variant misses out on several features such as GPS navigation, ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, live tracking, hill hold assist and park assist. Furthermore, you won’t get the OTA (over-the-air) updates and its 7-inch touchscreen has basic greyscale interface instead the multi colour display.

The new Ather 450X base variant comes with a single default ride mode, while the top-end variant gets Eco, Ride, Sports and Wrap modes. No changes have been made to its powertrain. Similar to the higher variant, the new base version uses a 3.7kWh battery pack promising a range of 146km on a single charge. It delivers a peak power of 6.4kW and a peak torque of 26Nm. The e-scooter can do 0 to 100kmph in 3.3 seconds and offers a maximum speed of 90kmph.

 It’s important to note that the new base variant is being offered with the slow charger. Its battery pack takes 15 hours and 20 minutes to get fully charged. With ProPack, its charging time can be reduced to 5 hours 40 minutes. The scooter has been assembled with the same 100/80-12 rear tyres. It has a single-case, aluminium rear view mirror and an aluminium sidestep. The 450X comes with a 2GB RAM of the dashboard.

Ather is offering a warranty of 3 years/30,000 km for the electric scooter and charger. The new base variant comes with a battery warranty of 3 years/30,000 kms, while the Pro Pack version is available with a warranty of 5 years/60,000 kms. The Ather 450X takes on the Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
