Aprilia SXR 125, the upcoming maxi-scooter from the Italian two-wheeler maker, has been priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the Aprilia SXR 160 that costs 1.27 lakh, the new 125cc scooter is around Rs 9,000 more affordable. Pre-bookings of the model have already been commenced at an initial amount of 5,000. Its official launch is likely to happen in coming weeks.
– For power, the new Aprilia 125cc maxi-scooter uses a BS6-compliant, 125cc, 3-valve, fuel injected engine that’s claimed to offer 9.4bhp and 8.2Nm of torque.
– It has ventilated disc brake and twin pots caliper hydraulic brakes along with CBS (combined braking system). The suspension setup includes dual telescopic fornt and adjustable rear unit. The scooter runs on 5-spoke, metallic grey alloy wheels with 12-inch wide pattern tubeless tyres.
– The company says that its all elements and thick chassis construction are made for maximum strength to form a strong built up.
– The Aprilia SXR 125 has an all-digital cluster hosting features such as mileage indicator, top speed display, average speed display, RPM meter, digital fuel indication, engine malfunction indication, battery voltage, average speed, odometer & time display, instant mileage and more.
– The company is also offering an optional mobile connectivity that connects the scooter via mobile app. It helps locating a vehicle, raise service concern, raise alarm when needed and post on social media.
– Upfront, it has dark fly screen providing protection from the wind and dust. The scooter has long bucket seats crafted in Art leather with special stitch pattern in grey and red threads.
– The 3 coat HD body finish with signature graphics and matt black design trims inserts, honeycomb grilles with dark chrome elements, chrome garnished exhaust and painted footboard enhance its sporty appeal.
– The upcoming Aprilia 125cc features wraparound twin LED headlamps, LED taillamps, retractable footsteps, perforated handle grips, thick raised all round rear grab rail, front lockable split glove boxes with USB charging point, bag hook and a large under storage area. The maxi-scooter offers a fuel tank capacity of 7-litres.
