All-New Royal Enfield Hunter 450: All You Need to Know

Royal Enfield is working on a new 450cc motorcycle for the Indian market. It is being speculated that while based on the Himalayan 450 platform, this new model will be called Hunter 450. It has been spotted multiple times on the Indian roads and the spy-shots indicate that the overall design is in line with the Hunter 350. However, the rear profile seems to have been borrowed from the Himalayan 450.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Design

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 borrows styling cues from the Hunter 350 with multiple identical elements in the form of the circular headlamp and rounded fuel tank design. The Royal Enfield badging would be present on both the sides of the tank. As for the rear profile, it is reminiscent of the all-new Himalayan 450 with a similar tail-lamp cluster which is integrated into the LED indicators. The grab handle design is a bit different from the Hunter 350 but the raised handlebar and footpeg positioning is similar.

The round instrument console, again, would be sourced from the Himalayan 450. As for wheels, it rides on 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels which are shod with block-pattern tyres. The alloy wheel design appears very similar to the Shotgun 650. The suspension setup comprises of telescopic forks at front and monoshock unit at the rear.

We have learnt that the Hunter 450 would be powered by the same 450cc single-cylinder Sherpa petrol engine as the Himalayan 450. This unit produces top power of 39 bhp and peak torque of 40 Nm. Though the engine could be tuned differently for the Hunter 450.
