All-New Renault Duster Under Development; New Details Emerge

French automaker, Renault is working on the next gen Duster SUV for India as well as international markets. The all-new Renault Duster will come with significant design changes & new modern interior along with mechanical upgrades.

The all-new Renault Duster is expected to be launched by 2023-24. The new model will retain the likeable design, but with new feature highlights. It will offer a high price-to-feature ratio and several new age tech. While the previous Duster are based on the B-Zero platform, the next-gen Duster will be based on an all-new platform.

The all-new Renault Duster is likely to be based on a new CMF-B LS platform, which is basically a lower spec version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B platform. This platform is compatible to accommodate different body styles and powertrain options including hybrid & electric. This concept is similar to Volkswagen MQB AO-IN, which underpins the Kushaq, Slavia, Taigun & Virtus.

he Renault CMF-B LS version is more affordable & has been made for conditions and requirements in developing markets. The platform will be optimised by adding & removing tech, and will be compliant with global safety. It is likely to be offered with a hybrid powertrain, which will make it compliant with emission norms.

The all-new Renault Duster will address customers looking for a simple car which can go off-road. The new model will retain the previous Duster’s off-road ability. The Duster 4×4 is one of the cheapest 4WD SUVs on sale.

Renault is yet to make a final decision on launching the new Duster. The company is actively evaluating the launch of the new SUV in the country. The French automaker will also introduce the production version of the Bigster SUV, which is scheduled to be launched by 2025. It will be positioned against the likes of the Nissan Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The Bigster SUV will also be based on the CMF-B platform with petrol and hybrid powertrains.
