All-New Mahindra XUV 3XO – 5 Interesting Facts

Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to introduce a new SUV on April 29, 2024 in the Indian market. Christened as the 3XO, it is believed to be the 2024 XUV300 facelift which will come with a myriad of cosmetic updates, evident by the 30 secs teaser video released by the company. A latest teaser confirms that the upcoming compact SUV will come with the first-in-segment dual-pane panoramic sunroof. 1. New Name

Mahindra has introduced a new moniker 3XO (pronounced as XUV-three-ex-oh) for the upcoming SUV. Earlier, it was called XUV300 and was the brand’s entry-level sub 4-meter SUV in its portfolio. Mahindra XUV 3XO will be locally built at the automaker’s factory in Nashik, Maharashtra.

2. New Front Face

The teaser video shows that Mahindra has given substantial makeover to the SUV, with most of the styling inspired by the company’s upcoming range of BE electric SUVs. The front fascia is completely different from the XUV300 as it flaunts new grille, inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, and restyled headlamps which are positioned above the fog lamp units. 3. New Rear Profile

The tail-gate has been redesigned from scratch in an angular form and the registration plate is now placed at the bumper instead of the tail. The LED tail-lamps are sleeker than before and presented in a C-shape with the LED bar running full width of the SUV.

4. First-in-Segment Panoramic Sunroof

We have learnt from sources that Mahindra XUV 3XO could carry a panoramic sunroof and hence become the first SUV in the segment to boast of this feature, which has heavyweights like Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Nissan Magnite. It could also feature a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with new features like voice commands.

5. New 6-Speed Automatic Gearbox

The XUV 3XO would be offered with the same engine options as the XUV300, which includes a 1.2L turbo petrol, a 1.2L direct injection turbocharged (TGDI) petrol and a 1.5L diesel unit. However, it will be the first time that the 1.2L TGDI motor will be paired with a Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox.
