Japanese automaker, Honda has started working on the next generation CR-V SUV, which is expected to be introduced in 2022. The all-new Honda CR-V prototype has been caught testing several times in foreign soil. Motor1.com has released a new rendering of the new prototype of the new CR-V based on the spy images.
The design of the all-new Honda CR-V will be more angular, and will share styling cues from the new generations of Civic and HR-V. The front fascia will have a longer, flatter hood than the outgoing model. The grille will have all-new design and will grow in size, which will be flanked by narrower headlight.
The outside rear view mirrors are placed on the doors instead on the Column A in the existing model. The SUV will have better NVH levels and offers better aerodynamics. There will be a strong crease that runs above the door handles across the length, from the headlights to the taillights. The all-new Honda CR-V will grow in size and will offer more space inside the cabin.
The rear profile is still a mystery; however, it is likely to get vertically-stacked tail-lamps. The interior of the new Honda CR-V will be all-new. It will have a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The current model is available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, and the same is expected with the next-gen CR-V as well. Adding to it, the new model will also receive a pure electric version for the several global markets. The SUV is also expected to feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC engine with CVT gearbox.
