All-New Honda BR-V 7-Seater SUV Revealed; Specs, Features & Details

Japanese automaker, Honda has officially revealed the production version of the N7X 7-seater SUV in Indonesia. Dubbed as the all-new Honda BR-V, the new 7-seater SUV comes with a completely new design and interior along with various advanced technologies.

Honda claims that it had conducted a long and in-depth study to capture the needs and driving habts of consumers of 7-seater SUVs. In fact, Honda had developed the N7X concept model which was exhibited in various regions in Indonesia. The second generation Honda BR-V is claimed to be designed to combine the styling and toughness of an SUV, the cabin comfort and functionality of an MPV along with driving performance and efficiency of Honda cars.

The all-new Honda BR-V comes with several advanced features like Honda Sensing, Honda LaneWatch, Remote Engine Start, Walk-Away Auto Lock, and Smart Entry System. In terms of styling, the new BR-V gets newly styled LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), and newly styled tail-lights with LED light bards. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The SUV offers console armrest for first row and 2nd row seat armrest for comfortable experience. All three rows come with 12V power sockets. It gets a 4.2-inch TFT display on the dashboard to display various information such as the Honda SENSING function, average fuel consumption, mileage, remaining fuel, etc. It features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and hands-free telephony.

All New Honda BR-V comes with 5 color choices, Premium Opal White Pearl, which is a new color, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Engine Specifications

The All-New Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine that is capable of producing 121PS at 6,600rpm and a peak torque of 145Nm at 4,300rpm. It is paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. This engine is compatible with EURO 4 emission standards.

It comes with advanced features such as Remote Engine Start function, which functions to start the vehicle engine and air conditioning automatically before entering the vehicle. Other features include auto foldable side door mirror with LED turn signal, Honda LaneWatch for a wider view of blind spot area, Smart Entry System, etc.

The all-new Honda BR-V comes equipped with Honda Sensing technology, which is basically ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It offers features like Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Auto-High Beam.

All-New Honda BR-V Variant-Wise Features

The new BR-V is offered in 3 trim levels – S, E, Prestige. The base SM/T variant gets LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone connection, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Side Airbags & Parking Sensors. Adding to it, this trim offers Power Retractable Mirror, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, keyless entry, etc.

BR-V E CVT & M/T – It gets additional features like LED foglamps, smart entry system, walk-away auto lock, TFT meter, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear AC double blower and remote engine start with CVT.

BR-V Prestige CVT – This variant gets auto foldable side door mirror with LED turning signal, 17-inch alloy wheel, leather coating on the armrests, door sides and dasboard panels, and 2nd row armrest console.
