The new Hyundai Creta will come with several India-specific changes, ADAS Tech and a new turbo petrol engine. Launch scheduled by the end this financial year.
The Korean automaker, Hyundai will finally launch the much-awaited Exter micro SUV in our market on July 10, 2023. Based on the Grand i10 platform, the new Hyundai Exter will be the brand’s second all-new product to be launched in our market this year. Hyundai has recently launched the new-gen Verna sedan, which has received positive response from buyers. In order to further improve sales, the Korean automaker is preparing a wide range of new vehicles including new EVs and updated versions of its existing models.
After Exter, the brand’s next big product for our market will be the new Hyundai Creta that has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The Creta facelift is already on sale in select international markets including Indonesia and Brazil. However, the new Creta for our market will be different from the global-spec model. It will come with several India-specific design changes and upgraded interior along with new engine options.
The new Hyundai Creta will come equipped with ADAS tech, which will be similar to the one offered in the new Verna. What’s more interesting is that the new Creta will also receive the sportier N Line version. It will be the third model from the Korean giant in the N Line range in our market. The ADAS tech will offer features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance, rear cross traffic collision, lane keep assist and blind spot monitor.
The new Hyundai Creta will also come with a 360 degree camera, and an updated connected car tech with new safety features such as stolen vehicle immobilisation, stolen vehicle tracking and a valet parking mode. It will be powered by a new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that powers the new Verna. This engine produces 160bhp of power and 253Nm of torque. It will also retain the existing a 115bhp, 1.5L NA petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.
