Hyundai will launch the new Creta facelift before the end of 2022. The updated model has already been launched in Indonesia. The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift features the brand’s new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy with more aggressive design. It comes with a new parametric jewel pattern grille that integrates LED DRLs & a new rectangular shaped LED headlamps, revised bumper with slimmer air inlet and new fog lamps.

The new model is likely to get the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a new digital driver’s display and an updated BlueLink connected car tech. The vehicle is also expected to get a 360 degree camera. The SUV will retain the existing engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol.

2022 Hyundai Venue facelift

Hyundai has started testing the new Venue facelift on the Indian roads. Expected to be launched by mid-2022, the new model will receive significantly revised exterior and upgraded interior. The SUV will debut the brand’s new design language, which we have already seen on the new Tucson. The front design is similar to the new Creta facelift and the new Tucson, featuring a parametric grille and rectangular shaped headlamp.

It is likely to get a sportier N-Line variant, which will join the i20 N Line. The cabin is likely to receive minimum changes in the form of an updated infotainment system, new BlueLink connected car tech, and new colour upholstery. It is likely to retain the existing engine set-up comprising a 83bhp/113Nm, 1.2L NA petrol, a 118bhp/175Nm, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and a 99bhp/240Nm, 1.5L turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 5-speed MT with 1.2L petrol, a 6-speed MT as standard, an iMT and 7-speed DCT with 1.0L turbo-unit.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Vitara Brezza in the second quarter of 2022, most probably in April. The new model will come with significant design changes, all-new interior and several segment-leading features. The biggest change will be made inside the cabin. It will come with a new dashboard, a new central console and instrument panel. The SUV will get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, voice recognition & navigation. It will also get wireless charging system, paddle shifters, automatic AC, a factory-fitted electric sunroof and a 360 degree camera.

The new Brezza will offer high-end safety features such as 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), ABS with EBD, hill launch assist and others. The 2022 Maruti Brezza will be powered by the same 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that powers the current model, S-Cross, Ciaz and the Ertiga. This engine produces 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. The vehicle could get a stronger hybrid system to achieve higher fuel efficiency. Instead of the current 4-speed torque convertor, the new Brezza will receive a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

Seltos X Line changes

Kia has started testing the new Seltos facelift on foreign soil. The SUV could make global debut in next few months, while India launch could take place during festive season – around Diwali. The new model will come with design changes and upgraded interior. It will have a revised front fascia with a new front grille, updated headlamp setup and new bumper. The SUV will also get newly styled L-shaped tail-light.

The cabin of the new Seltos is likely to get a newly designed steering wheel, new switchgear, and possibly an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system along with revised connected car tech. In India, the Seltos is available with 3 engine options – a 114bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 114bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine. The India-spec model could receive a mild hybrid version to meet the upcoming CAFÉ & updated BSVI emission norms.

MG Motor India has already released multiple images of the new ZS EV facelift, which is expected to be launched in March 2023. The SUV will come with design changes, new interior and a bigger battery pack. It comes with a new front fascia with new LED headlamps with DRLs, and new 17-inch alloy wheels, and new tail-lights.

The electric SUV gets a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 7-inch digital instrument console, electronic power steering, a panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a PM 2.5 filter, automatic AC & multiple USB charging ports. It is likely to get a larger 51kWh battery pack instead of the 44.5kWh unit in the outgoing model. The new battery pack is expected to offer a range of around 480km. The outgoing model is claimed to deliver a range of 419km.
