A new patent image of the 2023 Honda CR-V SUV has been leaked online, which shows the design of the SUV. The patent looks a real deal, as it appears similar to the spotted model.
Previous spy images reveal that the 2023 Honda CR-V will be significantly longer than the current model. The increase in size will help Honda to liberate more space inside the cabin. The design of the SUV is inspired by the latest generation Honda HR-V, which is on sale in select international markets.
The front design of the new CR-V looks squarer and less angular. There is a chrome strip that runs through the trapezoidal grille connects the thinner headlamps. The fog lamp design is also similar to the new HR-V. The rear is also expected to be inspired by the smaller sibling. It will have simpler profile, featuring new tail-lights and simple tailgate design. The spy shots reveal that the rear design is bigger than the current generation model. It is expected that the new CR-V will also come with an option with 7-seats.
The 2023 Honda CR-V is likely to follow the brand’s latest interior design language, with a tablet-type entertainment system with a touch-sensitive screen. The SUV will have more refined and premium interior.
The next-gen Honda CR-V is expected to be offered with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. It will also receive a pure electric version for select markets. It is also likely to feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC engine with CVT gearbox.
