New Skoda Superb
Skoda is all set to introduce the fourth gen Superb sedan in the global markets. This model will also be launched in our market, but it will take sometime before it makes it to India. In the meantime, Skoda plans to re-introduce the current-gen Superb sedan with the BS6 Phase Compliant powertrain. In fact, the company confirms that it is evaluating best options to introduce the new gen Superb to India post the global launch.
Skoda Octavia Facelift
Not Just the Superb, Skoda also plans to launch the Octavia sedan in the Indian market. The sedan shares the powertrain with the Superb sedan, and the powertrain will be upgraded to meet the new RDE emission norms. Interestingly, Skoda could also introduce the Octavia VRS performance sedan in the country. The Octavia RS iV features the same 245bhp engine as the previous vRS, but it has a smaller 1.4L turbo petrol engine and an e-motor. The petrol engine produces 150bhp and the 13kW battery pack offers the rest of the power and torque.
New Skoda Enyaq iV Electric
Skoda will start its electrifying journey in our market with the Enyaq iV electric SUV. Scheduled to be launched before the end of this financial year, the new Enyaq iV will be a completely built-up unit. This EV is based on the VW Group’s MEB born-electric platform that underpins the VW ID 4 and Audi Q4 e-tron. This 5-seater electric SUV features a 77kWh battery pack that supports up to 125kW DC fast charging. The top-end model has dual motors to offer AWD capability. The combined power output is rated at 265bhp. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.9 seconds and has a WLTP rated range of up to 513km in a single charge.

New Skoda Compact SUV
Skoda is also developing a new sub-4 meter SUV, codenamed SK216 for the Indian market. It is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2024. It will rival the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and others. The new Skoda SK216 small SUV is expected to be based on the modified MQB AO IN platform that underpins the Kushaq and the Slavia.
