3 New Cars To Be Launched This Month – New Sonet, Lexus LM

Before the end of this year, a total of 3 new cars will be launched in the Indian market. While Kia will introduce the new Sonet facelift on December 15, 2023, Lexus will introduce its new LM MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) before the end of this month.

The Korean automaker, Kia will introduce the much-awaited Sonet facelift in the country on December 15, 2023. The 2024 Kia Sonet will receive cosmetic design changes and feature loaded cabin; however, it will retain the existing powertrain option. The new model will also receive ADAS tech with limited features, which we have already seen on the Hyundai Venue.

The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will be offered in 3 engine options – a 82bhp, 1.2-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission), a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).

Lexus India has not officially revealed the launch date of the LM premium MPV; however, it is expected to be introduced by the end of this month. Lexus had started accepting pre-orders for the LM luxury MPV in August 2023. The company has received over 100 bookings, which is decent for an expensive luxurious MPV.

The 2024 Lexus LM MPV is based on Toyota’s GA-K platform and will be offered in a single top-spec 350h variant with four and seven-seater options. In terms of styling, the new LM MPV comes with a large upright front grille, a 3-pod LED headlamps, sleeker LED daytime running lights, wrap-around LED connected taillights and powered sliding rear doors. In terms of features, the MPV gets a 48-inch screen, recliner seats, 23-speaker surround-sound seyup, footrest for the second row, ambient lighting, and an ADAS tech. It will be powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol hybrid engine mated to a CVT gearbox. The combined power output of 190bhp and 240Nm of torque.

Lamborghini is gearing up for the launch of the Reveulto hybrid supercar in the Indian market. Scheduled to be launched on December 6, 2023, the Lamborghini Revuelto will replace the Aventador in the country. It is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 8.9 crore (ex-showroom).

Powering the Lamborghini Revuelto is a new 6.5-litre V12 naturally-aspirated engine that produces 825bhp of power at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 725Nm at 6,750rpm. The engine is paired to 4 electric motors, two at the front and one at the rear. The combined power output stands at 1,001bhp. The engine is paired to a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
