2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Testing Begins – All Expected Changes

We have recently seen the new Kia Seltos with significant changes, and it looks like the Sonet is the next in line for a makeover. The company has begun testing the Sonet facelift, and these spy shots were taken in Hyderabad. This indicates that the subcompact SUV will come with some major upgrades. The spotted test mule was partially camouflaged, revealing some interesting design details.

The new 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will feature a newly-designed grille and headlamps with DRLs extending towards the lower half of the bumper. The bumper will also be tweaked to give the front a refreshed look. Moving to its sides, the new Sonet will look exactly similar to the current model, although it will receive a new set of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The GT variant of the SUV will have new alloys with red brake calipers for a sportier appearance. The taillamp cluster seems to have grown in size, and the LED taillamps appear to be redesigned. The rear bumper will also receive an update and have a dual-tone treatment. Additionally, the new Sonet facelift could be offered with new color options.

The most significant changes are expected to be made to its interior. However, details are scarce at this point in time. The new 2024 Kia Sonet facelift is likely to come with an all-new dashboard design and an updated dual-screen setup – one for the infotainment system and one for the digital instrument cluster. The screen might have a better user interface and resolution. There is a possibility that the new Sonet could be offered with features such as a dashcam and 360-degree camera, which were introduced on the Hyundai Exter micro SUV.

The 1.2L NA and 1.0L turbo gasoline units produce 83bhp and 120bhp, respectively, while the diesel motor returns a claimed power of 115bhp.
