– the new XUV700 is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel. The turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 200PS and 380Nm of torque, and is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.

– the turbo diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 155PS/360Nm and 185PS/450Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The automatic version is also offered with all-wheel-drive layout.

– the Mahindra XUV700’s diesel engine is significantly more powerful than the Tata’s 2.0L Kryotec engine. Moreover, the XUV700 is also available with a petrol engine that is not available with the new Safari.
