The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra will introduce the born-electric platform-based SUVs in our market in 2024. The company is currently selling the XUV400 EV, which is based on the modified XUV300 platform. The XUV300 compact SUV will also receive a significant makeover in the near future. It will be benefitted with an all-new feature-loaded interior along with a panoramic sunroof. The panoramic sunroof will also be added in the updated XUV400, which is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
Mahindra has added multiple new safety and convenience features on the top-spec EL trim of the XUV400 electric SUV. The SUV is now available at a starting price of Rs 19.19 lakh. The top-spec EL trim of the XUV400 is now equipped with features like electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, auto-dimming IRVMs, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a boot lamp, fog lamps and two tweeters & 4 speaker system.
The Mahindra XUV400 EL trim is available with a single electric motor mounted on the front axle, and produces 150hp & 310Nm of torque. The front-axle mounted motor draws power from a 39.4kWh battery pack. It is claimed to offer a certified range of 456km on a single charge. The entry-level EC trim features a 34.5kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of 375km.
The prices of the EL trim is increased by Rs 20,000. While the base EC trim is available in the price bracket of Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh, the EL trim is now priced between Rs 19.19 lakh and Rs 19.39 lakh.
