2023 Hyundai Verna Launching On March 21 – Booking, Specs

Hyundai has officially announced to launch the new-gen Verna midsize sedan on March 21, 2023. Interested buyers can book the 2023 Hyundai Verna online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. It will come in four trims – EX, S, SX and SX (O) – and two petrol engine options. The company has also released the teaser images, which shows the exterior styling of the new Verna.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna comes with all-new styling, which seems heavily inspired from the new-gen Elantra on sale in select international markets. It comes with an aggressive front fascia with a double layer headlamp set-up, which appears similar to the latest-gen Hyundai Grandeur sedan on sale in global markets. It features a new parametric-jewel-pattern grille with turn signal integration wide. The cascading-shape grille has an integrated full-LED headlamp and aggressive bumper.

2023 Hyundai Verna Variants Engine

The new gen Verna sedan will have a fastback-like styling with a tapered roof. At the back, the sedan has high-tech “H-Tail Lamp” that creates flying H logo-like shape, a wing-type lower bumper treatment and a tapered roofline to enhance the coupe-like look.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna will be offered with two petrol engine options, and there will be no diesel engine on offer. It will come with a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol. Both engines will be compliant with the upcoming RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms. While the 1.5L NA petrol engine is good for 115PS and 144Nm of torque, the turbo engine is capable of producing 160PS and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual as standard, an IVT with NA petrol and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with turbo petrol.

The new-gen Verna sedan will come in 7 single tone and two dual-tone exterior paint options. The company has added 3 new colours – Abyss Black, Atlas White, Tellurian Brown. The sedan will receive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It will offer multiple active and passive safety features including automatic emergency braking, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and more.
