In 2023, Hyundai Motor India will upgrade its existing product lineup along with introducing two all-new models – Ioniq 5 electric crossover and a micro-SUV. While the former will hit showrooms early next year, the latter is likely to arrive during 2023 festive season. The new Hyundai iA3 (codename) mini SUV will be positioned against the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
The South Korean automaker will give mid-life updates to its top-selling Creta SUV and Grand i10 Nios hatchback. It will also bring in the new-generation Hyundai Verna sedan that’s currently in its testing phase and caught on camera multiple times. The latest set of spy images show its revised interior featuring a dual screen display – one for infotainment and one for instrument cluster. We have seen the similar setup in Mahindra XUV700.
The infotainment unit will come with the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The carmaker might introduce a new set of connectivity features. The dashboard appears updated in the fresh spy images. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite offering safety features such as lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, driver attention monitoring system and rear cross traffic assistance.
Design and styling of the new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be sharper than before. The sedan will feature Hyundai’s new parametric jewel design grille, similar to the new-generation Tucson. It will also come with the full LED headlamps, updated front bumper, fastback-like styling with a tapered roof and split taillamps. Dimensionally, the new Verna is likely to remain unchanged. Its current-generation version measures 4440mm in length, 1729mm in width and 1475mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm.
More details on the new 2023 Hyundai Verna are likely to be revealed at the Delhi Auto Expo. The sedan’s new model might debut at the mega automotive event in January.
