2023 Hyundai Verna Coming Soon; Production Start In March

The new-generation Hyundai Verna will be the next big launch from the South Korean automaker in the country. Codenamed BN7i, the mid-size sedan is reported to enter into mass production in March 2023. This time around, the company will increase its production to 70,000 units per annum from around 40,000 units. One must note that most of its units will be reserved for exports. The market launch of the 2023 Hyundai Verna is likely to happen in the second quarter of this year (i.e. between April – June).

Significant changes will be made to its exterior and interior. The sedan will also receive a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine replacing the existing 120bhp, 1.0L turbo motor. Buyers will also have an option of the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. The gasoline motor will be boosted with the idle start/stop technology and deliver power worth 115bhp and 144Nm of torque. It can be had with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. There will be no diesel engine on offer.

In terms of features, the major upgrade will be the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The suite will offer multiple active and passive safety features including automatic emergency braking, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and more. The sedan will have a dual screen setup – one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster. The info unit will support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The new 2023 Hyundai Veran will carry the brand’s new design language and feature a new parametric jewel design grille as we have seen in the new Tucson. It will have full Led headlamps, revised front bumper, fastback-like styling with a tapered roof and split taillamps. Compared to the current generation, the new one will be longer and wider that will ensure more cabin space and boot space.
