Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India ha launched the OBD2 compliant 2023 Dio scooter at a starting price of Rs 70,211. The new 2023 Honda Dio is now available in 3 variants – Standard, Deluxe and Smart – priced at Rs 70,211, Rs 74,212 and Rs 77,712 respectively.
Honda Smart Key System
The 2023 Honda Dio now comes with Honda Smart Key System with features like Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start and Smart Safe. The Smart Find system makes it easier to locate vehicle in crowded parking spaces. On pressing the answer back button on the Smart Key, all 4 winkers will blink twice to locate the scooter.
With Smart Unlock function, one can lock and unlock the vehicle without using a physical key. In case the system detects no activity for 20 seconds after activation, the scooter automatically gets deactivated. The Smart Start function allows the rider to start the vehicle by rotating the knob on the Loc Mod to ignition position & push the start button without taking out the key; however, the smart key should be within the range of 2 meters of the vehicle.
The Smart Safe is a security function, as the scooter is equipped with Mapped Smart ECU which acts as a security device by electronically matching between the ECU & Smart Key and prevents the vehicle theft. The smart key has an immobilizer system which prevents a non-registered key from starting the engine.
2023 Honda Dio Specs
The new Dio scooter is powered by BSVI OBD2 compliant 110cc PGM-FI engine, boosted by Enhanced Smart Power (eSP). This engine produces 7.65bhp and a peak torque of 9Nm. The eSP comes with ACG starter that starts the engine via the same AC generator used to generate current and charge the battery while riding. The Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system injects the right amount of fuel in cylinder based on specific engine data and constant feedback from the 5 intelligent sensors.
The scooter comes with fully digital meter that offers 3 real time informations like Range, Average fuel efficiency & real-time fuel efficiency. The meter displays details like total trip clock & service duel indicator. This digital meter is available in deluxe and smart variants. It also has side stand indicator with engine inhibitor.
The 2023 Honda Dio has a ground clearance of 160mm, a storage compartment of 18-litres and two lid fuel opening system. It gets telescopic front suspension and Combi-brake system (CBS) with equlizer & 3-step adjustable rear suspension. Honda is offering a special 10-year warranty package – 3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty.
