2023 Honda City Starts Arriving at Dealerships – Variant Details Out

Honda Cars India is ready to roll out the updated City sedan in the country. While its launch date hasn’t announced yet, the model is likely to go on sale in the first week of March 2023. The new 2023 Honda City facelift can be pre-booked at dealership level by paying a sum of Rs 21,000 or online at Rs 5,000. In fact, the carmaker has started dispatching the sedan’s new model to its select dealerships. There will be two powertrains on offer – a 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid tech. While the former makes power worth 121bhp and 145Nm of torque, the latter is good for 126bhp and 253Nm. The petrol motor can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The hybrid setup will come with an eCVT transmission and prioritized electric-only mode in start/stop conditions.

2023 Honda City facelift front

While the City hybrid is said to deliver a fuel economy of 26.5kmpl and 1,000km range, the petrol version promises a mileage of 18.4kmpl. One must note that Honda has discontinued its 1.5L diesel engine due to the upcoming RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms. The new entry-level SV trim will be offered with manual gearbox only and the new V trim will come with the petrol-hybrid powertrain.

In terms of features, the new 2023 Honda City facelift will offer Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The system will offer safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. The sedan’s safety kit will also include 6 airbags, hill start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability assist, a multi-angle rear view camera, Isofix child mount and ORVM-mounted lane watch cameras.
