2023 BMW X7 Unveiled – All Changes Explained In 12 Quick Points

The German automaker has updated its flagship luxury SUV – BMW X7. The model comes with improved design and more features along with updated powertrain featuring advanced technologies. While the new 2023 BMW X7 facelift is already on sale in global markets, it’s likely to witness India launch towards the end of this year or early next year. Here, it will continue to take on the Audi Q7 and Mercedes GLS.

With major cosmetic updates, the SUV’s front fascia appears sportier than before. The new BMW X7 features a revised kidney grille with darkened slats and chrome surround, split headlamp setup (first for BMW) mounted lower down on the bumper and LED running lights placed near the hood line. The front grille has integrated cascade lighting element.

2023 BMW X7 Features

The X7 M60i ditches chrome for a gloss black treatment on the grille, headlamp fixtures and bumper mounted air vents.

While the xDrive 40i has been equipped with 21-inch wheels, the range-topping M60i gets 22-inch units.

At the back, the SUV has a slimmer chrome bar connecting the newly-designed LED taillamps.

The automaker offers 14 exterior colour options along with multiple BMW Individual finishes such as Frozen Pure Grey, Tanzanite Blue II and Ametrin Dravit Grey.

One of the feature updates comes in the form of the latest iDrive 8 infotainment system that has a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The updated info unit has a streamlined home screen, sleeker interface and voice and gesture control.

The SUV gets multi-contour seats with heating functionality for both the driver and front passenger as standard feature.

While the xDrive 40i comes with vegan Sensafin faux leather, the M60i offers the extended Merino leather.

The range-topping variant also gets active roll stabilization and integral active steering.

The new 2023 BMW X7 facelift will be offered with the same 3.0L, inline 6-cylinder (xDrive 40i) and 4.4L V8 (M60i) engine options. Though, both motors are now boosted with 48V mild hybrid technology that helps them produce extra power and torque.

Now, the 3.0L unit delivers 375bhp with 519Nm and accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds. The bigger capacity 4.4L motor returns a claimed power of 523bhp and 750Nm and it can do 0 to 100kmph in 4.0 seconds with a maximum speed of 290kmph.

A new 8-speed automatic gearbox with launch control functionality is also on offer.
