Czech automaker, Skoda will launch the new Karoq facelift on November 30, 2021. Ahead of its official debut, Skoda has released design sketches of the SUV. The Karoq is one of the most successful product for the VW Group. In order to further improve sales, the SUV will soon receive a mild makeover in the global markets.
For people not in the know, the Skoda Karoq was on sale in India until earlier this year. It was launched as CBU (Completely Built Unit); and the initial lot was sold out. The company discontinued the SUV from our market, as the focus is now shifted towards the new Skoda Kushaq.
The design sketches reveal that the 2022 Skoda Karoq facelift will come with a revised front fascia. It gets a slightly slimmer lower section of the headlight and a slightly updated grille. The LED DRLs (daytime running lamps) have a split design, which seems inspired from the previous generation Octavia.
The lower lights are now angled towards the side, and the cluster seems bigger than the outgoing model. It gets a revised front bumper that has a wider air intake and new trim finished in dark chrome. The 2022 Skoda Karoq also gets a revised taillights, which now further extends on the tailgate and have different shape on the left side. There is a big SKODA lettering on the tailgate.
Interior changes are yet to be revealed. Details about the technical specifications have not been released, but it is not likely to receive any significant changes. The 2022 Skoda Karoq won’t receive any plug-in hybrid variant. The SUV will be offered with a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options.
