KTM has launched the much-awaited 2022 RC 200 and the RC 125 in the Indian market. While the new KTM RC 200 is priced at Rs 2.09 lakh, the 125cc RC motorcycle costs Rs 1.82 lakh. These are introductory ex-showroom prices, and will go up soon.
2022 KTM RC 200
While the motorcycle has received several changes, the price has remined the same as its previous model. The 2022 KTM RC 200 now looks bigger and more mature than its predecessor. The motorcycle now has new LED headlamp setup and LCD instrument console. The instrument console seems sourced from the new 250 Duke. The turn indicators are now mounted on the fairing.
The motorcycle has a larger 13.7-litre fuel tank as against 9.5-litre tank in the previous model. It is based on a split-type trellis frame with a bolted-on sub-frame. The previous model was based on a single-piece chassis. It gets new WP Apex monoshock and fully adjustable handlebar risers. It gets a new and lighter 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brakes along with Supermoto ABS.
It is powered by the same 25.4bhp, 199.5cc, liquid-cooled engine that powers the previous model. However, it now has larger airbox for better air flow that makes it more responsive and torquey.
2022 KTM RC 125
Priced at Rs 1.82 lakh, the new RC 125 is around 2,000 expensive than the predecessor. It comes with an all-new styling inspired by the KTM RC8. It looks less sharp and more mature. The motorcycle gets a bubble-type visor along with re-designed fairing and fuel tank. It hass single halogen unit with turn indicators fitted on the fairing.
The new RC 125 is 3.4kg lighter than the previous model. It gets a bigger 13.7-litre fuel tank. The 2022 KTM RC 125 is powered by a 124.2cc single-cylinder engine producing 14.5Nm and 12Nm of torque. It features an adjustable open cartridge WP APEX upside-down front forks, which has 30 clicks of compression adjustment on the left, and 30 clicks for rebound on the right. The 2022 KTM RC390 is fitted with a WP APEX rear shock absorber which offers pre-load adjustment and 5 clicks rebound settings. The new KTM RC 125 comes with WP APEX open cartridge front fork and a new WP APEX shock absorber with split piston functionality.
