The Korean automaker, Kia is readying a facelift version of the Seltos facelift that has been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. The new 2022 Kia Seltos facelift is expected to make global debut sometime next year. A new set of spy images have hit the web-world; however, the spotted model was camouflaged. Despite camouflage, the spy images reveal some of the design changes.
2022 Kia Seltos Facelift Design Changes
The 2022 Kia Seltos facelift is likely to receive a significantly updated front fascia with similarities with the bigger Kia SUVs including the Telluride. The SUV gets a re-profiled front grille which is positioned slightly lower, while the air-dam seems significantly larger. The SUV will also receive a restyled headlamp unit.
The vehicle will also get front parking camera, which is also visible in the spy images. The side profile will look largely identical to the current model; except for the new set of alloys. The rear will also receive several design changes, as it will get completely redesigned tail-lights.
The rear profile has newly styled bumper that accommodates new parking lights. The SUV also gets front as well as rear parking sensors. The spotted model has projector headlamps and misses out on LEDs, which is likely a mid-level variant. The spotted model also misses out on the roof rails; however, the production version will come with roof rails.
What’s inside the cabin?
Pictures of the 2022 Kia Seltos facelift are yet to be released; however, it is likely to receive few changes. The new model is expected to get a new full digital instrument console, new upholstery and new colour scheme. The SUV also expected to get updated UVO connected car tech, which will soon debut in the new Carens MPV.
2022 Kia Seltos Engine Options
The Seltos facelift is likely to retain the existing engine lineup that comprises of a 113bhp/144Nm, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol, a 113bhp/250Nm, 1.5L turbocharged diesel and a 138bhp/242Nm, 1.4L turbocharged petrol. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual, a CVT, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic, a 6-speed iMT & a 7-speed DCT.
Expected Launch & Price
The new Seltos is expected to be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2022. It is likely to make global debut in the first half of next year. The new model is likely to be more expensive than the current car, which is priced between Rs 9.95 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh. Expect new model cost somewhere between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 18.5 lakh.
