American SUV maker, Jeep has launched the new Compass Trailhawk facelift in the Indian market. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is available at an introductory price of Rs 30.72 lakh, which is around Rs 1.38 lakh expensive than the top-spec Compass S variant. The updated model comes with cosmetic design changes and feature upgrades along with off-road focused features.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Top Changes
In terms of styling changes, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes with new headlamps and grille along with a new bumpers for better approach and departure angles. It comes with new bonnet decal, smaller 17-inch alloys wrapped with 225/65 R17 section tyres, a red hook at the rear, scuff plates and new ‘Trail Rated’ badged on the fenders. Inside the cabin, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk shares the layout and features with the updated Compass. It comes with red stitching and ‘Trailhawk’ badging on the seats. The trail-rated Compass is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console.
Other features include LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, rain sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera and auto dimming IRVMs. The SUV also gets ventilated front seats. However, it misses out on electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
The SUV comes with a raised ground clearance at 205mm. The re-profiled front bumper gives an improved approach angle of 30 degree (Regular model has 16.8 degree). The new Compass Trailhawk offers 24 degree ramp break over and 34 degree departure angles. The SUV comes with ‘Rock’ drive mode, which improves its performance on difficult terrains. It comes with fully underbody protection plates, mud plus snow tyres, and smaller 17-inch wheels. The SUV offers a water wading depth of 483mm.
The 2022 Compass Trailhawk is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. A 9-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox driving the power to all-4 wheels via 4WD system comes as standard.
