Audi India has started local production of the new Q7 facelift at SAVWIPL manufacturing unit in Aurangabad. The 2022 Audi Q7 facelift is scheduled to be launched in January. The previous model was discontinued in April 2020 on the arrival of the BSVI emission norms.
The 2022 Audi Q7 comes with cosmetic upgrades to exterior and interior along with new features addition. The new model will be offered in petrol version only. It is likely to be powered by a 3.0-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine that churns out 340PS of power and 500Nm of torque. The engine will be benefited with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
An 8-speed automatic gearbox driving the power to all-4 wheels via Quattro AWD system will come as standard. The entry-level variants could receive a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Skoda Kodiaq and the VW Tiguan. This engine produces 190bhp and 320Nm of torque.
In terms of features, the SUV could get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.6-inch touchscreen display for the four-zone climate control and a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, etc. The 7-seater SUV will measure 5,063mm in length, 1,970mm in width, 1,741mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,995mm.
In terms of styling, the SUV gets a large octagonal grille, LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, big plastic cladding all-around the body, LED tail-lights, and chrome treatment. Expected to be priced around Rs 80 lakh, the new Q7 will rival the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, and the Volvo XC90.
