The Toyota Innova Crysta, the popular MPV from the Japanese carmaker, is ready to make world debut tomorrow (15th October, 2020). Prior to its official unveiling, the brochure scans of the updated model have been leaked on the web.
As per the leaked brochure, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta carries an entirely revised front fascia featuring a hexagonal grille with new slats and chrome surrounds. It also gets a newly-designed bumper, revised fog lamps integrated into the bumper and new LED projector headlamps.
Save for the alloy wheels, the side profile of the new Innova Crysta looks exactly similar to the current model. The rear section has also been revised with wrap around LED taillamps. Inside, the MPV gets a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and new seating upholstery. While the leaked brochure has no mention of other new features, it’s reported to get a 360 degree camera park assist and wireless charging. While the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will be first launched in Indonesia, its India launch will happen early next year. Here, it will be made available with the same 2.7L petrol and 2.4L diesel engines that do duty to the pre-facelift model. The former makes a top power of 166bhp with 245Nm of torque, the latter one is good enough for 150bhp and 343Nm with manual gearbox and 360Nm with automatic transmission.
In Indonesia, the new Toyota Kijang Innova (Innova Crysta) will continue to be offered with the 2.0L petrol and 2.4L diesel motors. The MPV model lineup will be made available in four trim levels – E, G, V and Venturer.
