Besides pricing, the pictures, colours and features of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan have been leaked via the brand’s official website.
The adventure tourer’s updated model has received three new colours, namely, Mirage Silver, Pine Green and Granite Black. While some of the old paint schemes have been removed from the model lineup, three of them are continue on offer – Lake Blue and Rock Red paint schemes.
Visually, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 2021 looks exactly similar to the existing model. It carries the same round headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, rear view mirrors, sleek turn indicators, slim tail section and upswept exhaust. In terms of features, the updated model is likely to receive Tipper navigation system similar to the RE Meteor 350. It’s a Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation system.
The front rack is shorter than before and has been shifted a little forward. The rear carrier gets a flat surface metal plate providing more luggage space. No changes have been made to its suspension and braking system.
The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan continues to use front and rear disc brakes along with the switchable ABS. The bike comes with the same 41mm telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. For power, it will use the 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox. The motor delivers a peak power of 24.3bhp and 32Nm of torque.
