2021 Mahindra Bolero Leaked: Launch Details, Top Changes

The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of new Bolero NEO edition in the country. It is basically the re-badged version of the TUV300 facelift, which has been spotted testing multiple times. The new model will be positioned alongside the existing Bolero, which will also receive a makeover this year. A completely undisguised image of the 2021 Mahindra Bolero has been leaked on the Internet.

The 2021 Mahindra Bolero will receive aesthetic changes. The spotted model was finished in a new dual-tone colour scheme. The new Bolero is finished in Red colour with contrasting grey colour for the front grille and bumper. It is expected that the upgraded Bolero will also receive new colour options.

The front fascia of the SUV including the grille and bumper looks identical to the existing model. However, it gets slightly revised headlamp clusters with different internals. The spotted model is not equipped with front fog lamps, which suggest that this could be the mid-spec variant. Adding to it, the 2021 Mahindra Bolero gets blackened outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) instead of body-coloured units.

The 2021 Mahindra Bolero will be powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, mHawk75 diesel engine that produces 75bhp of power and 210Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The new model will be sold alongside the existing Bolero SUV. The Bolero Neo will retain the boxy and upright stance. In order to make it look different from the previous TUV300, Mahindra will make certain changes like new grille with thick chrome slats and revised headlamps. The SUV will also get updated bumper with new lower air dam, clam-shell bonnet, square-ish wheel arches, black plastic cladding, and newly styled tail-lamps. The SUV will retain the tailgate mounted spare wheel.

Inside the cabin, the SUV is expected to receive a new infotainment unit with latest smartphone connectivity and a newly-designed dashboard. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine, which is likely to produce around 100bhp and 240Nm of torque.
