2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross – 2 Variants, 7 Colours, Updated Engine

Details of the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup truck have been leaked on the web ahead of its launch early next month. As per the leaked brochure scans, the model will come two variants – Z 2WD automatic and Z Prestige 4WD automatic. Both models will source power from the updated BS6-compliant 1.9L, 4-cylinder common rail diesel engine boosted with a variable geometry turbocharger.

The motor pushes out a peak power of 161bhp at 3,600rpm and 360Nm of torque between 2,000rpm – 2,500rpm. The pickup will have a 6-speed automatic gearbox for performing transmission duties. As mentioned above, the updated D-Max V-Cross will come with 2WD and 4WD options. The latter one will get a shift-on-the-fly system with a high torque mode.

The suspension setup includes double wishbone with coil spring & anti-roll bar and soft ride, leaf spring at the rear. Both variants will be assembled with 255/60 R18 front and rear radial tyres. It will have vacuum assisted hydraulic brakes,disc at the front and drum at the rear. The 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross carries a maximum front and rear axle weight of 1350kgs and 1500kgs respectively. Its kerb weight stands at 1890kgs.

The pickup truck measures 5295mm in length, 1860mm in width and 1840mm in height, while sitting on a 3,095mm long wheelbase. Buyers will have seven exterior paint schemes to choose from including Spinal Red, Titanium Silver, Cosmic Black, Galena Gray, Silky White Pearl, Sapphire Blue and Splash White.

Features such as front fog lamps with chrome bezel, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, auto cruise (steering mounted control), Live Surround Sound’ roof mounted sound system with 8 speakers, traction control system)TCS), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist (HAS), hill descent control (HDC), side airbags, roof length curtain and trasfercase protector will be exclusively offered on the top-end Z Prestige 4X4 AT variant.
