Hyundai had introduced the Starex MPV in the global markets in 2007. The current generation model is already 13 years old and is set to receive an all-new design. The company had introduced the facelifted version of the Starex in 2018, but it was based on the same old platform.
Hyundai is all set to introduce the next-gen Starex MPV, which is expected to be launched in the next 1-2 years. Here is a new set of spy images of the 2021 Hyundai Starex, which reveals the design and other details.
The spotted model was covered in a thick cloth; however, it shows that the new 2021 Hyundai Starex gets a massive grille that spans from headlight to headlight. The new model is likely to feature the split headlamp set-up, which is now common on new breed of Hyundai cars including new Tucson and Santa Fe.
The front overhang is shorter than the previous generation of the minivan. The large windows and greenhouse gives maximum driving visibility. The body is still boxy for maximum cabin and cargo capacity. Inside the cabin, the new Starex gets a floating infotainment system, new dashboard and new air-conditioning vent layout.
The next-gen 2021 Hyundai Starex is expected to make global debut in the end of this year. Technical details about the vehicle are yet to be announced, but it is likely to come with a hybrid version as well. The new model could share the engine specs with the new Kia Carnival.
