Mahindra had promised to deliver 14000 units of the new XUV700 SUV by January 2022. The company has now achieved this target, as it delivered 14,000 units of the Mahindra XUV700 by January 26, 2022. This is achieved despite production being disrupted due to the ongoing semiconductor crisis.
The company had received over 70,000 orders for the new XUV700 within 2 days. Mahindra has joined hands with a global consulting company to devise and implement an algorithm based process with an objective to streamline the delivery process of customers. The delivery process will be based on a combination of parameters including the quantum of bookings at the city & dealer level, the ratio of online bookings at dealer counters and variant-level production feasibility based on supply chain constraints.
Mahindra had opened bookings for the new XUV700 on October 7, 2021. In just 57 minutes, the Mahindra XUV700 SUV has received an extraordinary 25,000 bookings. In fact, the SUV recorded over 50,000 bookings in just 2 days. The new SUV currently commands a waiting period of around 90 weeks. The top-spec AX7 Luxury Pack petrol and diesel variants command waiting period of up to 86-88 weeks. The AX7 7-seater petrol has a waiting period of around 80 weeks, while the diesel commands a waiting period of around 77 weeks.
The new Mahindra XUV700 is available in the price bracket of Rs 12.95 lakh and Rs 23.80 lakh. The new Mahindra XUV700 is offered with two engine options – a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol. The petrol engine produces 200bhp and 380Nm of torque, while the diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 155bhp/360Nm for MX trim and 185bhp/420Nm (450NM with AT) with AdrenoX AX trim. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The diesel engine offers 4 driving modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom.
