Hyundai has announced that the Creta mid-sized SUV has achieved a remarkable milestone of 1 million sales in India. First launched in 2015, the Hyundai Creta is currently in its second generation in the Indian market. The SUV has been hugely popular among car buyers, which is evident from its constant high sales.
In the past 8 years, the Hyundai Creta has received multiple updates. Despite rising competition, the Hyundai Creta remained the best selling mid-sized SUV in India, with 1 Creta sold every 5 minutes. The company had launched the revised version of the SUV in the third week of January 2024. The new model has already received over 51,000 bookings.

Hyundai has also exported over 2.80 lakh units of the Creta SUV from India. The SUV model lineup is available with three engine options – a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L petrol, and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel. The company is also readying the sportier N Line version of the Creta SUV, which is expected to be launched sometime in February or March 2024. The SUV will feature N Line-specific cosmetic upgrades and a slightly tuned suspension setup. It will be powered by the 160PS, 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
