Citroen’s third product in our market will be the C3 Aircross midsize SUV, which will be launched in our market in the third quarter of 2023. The Citroen C3 Aircross is the only SUV in its category to offer 5 and 7-seat options. It will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and others.
The interior of the new C3 Aircross has received improvements from the C3 hatchback. However, it still lacks in overall quality and features when compared to the direct rivals. Here are the top 10 features that are not offered in the C3 Aircross but available in competition. Also See – Citroen C3 Aircross Vs Grand Vitara Vs Creta
Projector Headlamps or LEDs
Most of the SUVs in the midsize category or even sub-4 meter SUV segment are available with LED headlamps in mid or higher trims. On the flip side, Citroen has gone back to the basics and offered the old multi-reflector halogen headlamp setup in the C3 Aircross. We believe that Citroen’s new SUV should have offered projector headlamps if not LED headlamps.
Automatic Climate Control
Even the top-spec trim of the new Citroen C3 Aircross misses out on the automatic climate control. The buyer will need to operate the air conditioning by turning knobs and sliders. The manual AC with turning knobs and sliders could be offered on the lower-spec variants of the SUV.
Automatic Gearbox
The rising population and congested cities, automatic gearbox options are becoming more popular in urban cities. The automatic cars offer convenience and ease of driving in congested urban cities. The C3 Aircross misses out on this important feature.
Push-Button Start
The new Citroen C3 Aircross still uses the old styled key start instead of more modern and more common push-button start. This feature is now available in most of the small cars or SUVs on sale in our market.
Cruise Control
Cruise control is one feature that is very useful on highways with less traffic. And this feature is not offered with the C3 Aircross. Most of its rivals come with this feature. In fact, the MG Astor also gets adaptive cruise control.
Sunroof
Most of the mid-size SUVs are offered with either a single-pane or a panoramic sunroof; however, C3 Aircross is the only model in the category that misses out on this feature. Sunroof is hugely popular among car buyers and could take prospective buyers away from the C3 Aircross.
Six Airbags
The six airbags will soon become a mandate in our market. In fact, Hyundai, Kia and Maruti are already offering six airbags or 4 airbags as standard. Sadly, the Citroen C3 Aircross is only available with dual airbags.
Adjustable 2nd Row Seats (Fixed Seats)
The new Citroen C3 Aircross comes with a fixed type second-row seat, which cannot be moved forward or backward to create more legroom for the third-row occupants. However, the customer can recline the second-row seat in 3 steps.
Wireless Charging & Ventilated Seats
Not just sunroof, the Citroen C3 Aircross also misses out on features such as ventilated seats and wireless charging. These features are big attractions for buyers in the segment.
