Launched in June 2021, the Skoda Kushaq has been positioned against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Volkswagen Taigun. The competition gets fiercer with the entry of the new Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Recently, the Czech automaker rolled out the Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition in four variants – Style 1.0L MT, Style 1.0L AT, Style 1.5L MT and Style 1.5L DCT.
Variants, Prices
The Style 1.0L manual and automatic variants have been priced at Rs 15.59 lakh and Rs 17.29 lakh respectively. While the Style 1.5L manual version costs Rs 17.49 lakh, the Style 1.5L DCT model is available at Rs 19.09 lakh. Compared to their standard counterparts, the new Kushaq Anniversary Edition is Rs 30,000 more expensive. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

What’s So Special?
So, what’s special about the Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition? The model features an ‘Anniversary Edition’ badge on the C-pillar and the steering wheel. It has new door-edge protectors and a chrome applique across the lower portion of the doors. The chrome finishing on the front grille, door handles, cladding and new decals on the C-pillars add more to its sporty appeal. Inside, the new special edition of the Kushaq SUV has a Black and Grey theme. The new contrast stitching further differentiates it from the regular model.

It comes with all goodies available on the top-end Style trim including ventilated front seats with leather upholstery, wireless phone charger, 6-speaker sound system with subwoofer, auto dimming IRVMs, leather upholstery, multiple airbags, keyless entry with push button start, tyre pressure monitoring system and anti theft alarm.
Engine Options
The new Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition can be had with either a 1.0L TSI petrol or a 1.5L TSI petrol engine. The former makes 115bhp with 175Nm and comes with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters). The bigger capacity motor can be had with the 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission options.
