Honda City Hybrid Price Reduced By Up To Rs 3 Lakh In Haryana

The Government of India has been taking numerous steps to promote green or eco-friendly vehicles. Not just Central Gov, State Governments have also taken several steps to increase sales of eco-friendly cars or bikes. Multiple state governments have announced multiple schemes and tax benefits to attract automakers to establish their production facilities.

The latest to join is the Haryana Government that has approved its 2022 Electric Vehicle Policy. The policy gives incentives for small, medium and large-scale electric vehicle component makers and OEMs. Buyers can enjoy benefits on purchase of new EVs.

2022 Honda City Hybrid Performance Review

For the first 10 years, electric vehicle manufacturers will be able to avail 50 per cent of their SGST (State Goods & Service Tax). Adding to it, manufacturers can also available incentives of up to Rs 1 crore for setting up EV disposal facilities within the state. The EV buyers will enjoy flat discounts.

Local Haryana customers can avail a discount of up to 15 per cent on Electric Vehicle prced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. Customer can available a maximum discount of up to Rs 6 lakh. For EVs, between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 70 lakh customers can available 15 per cent discount – up to Rs 10 lakh. The incentive scheme also covered hybrid vehicles. A flat 15 per cent discount or maximum discount of up to Rs 3 lakh is available on hybrid cars costing below Rs 40 lakh.

Thanks to the policy, customers can now available a straight discount of up to Rs 3 lakh on the new City Hybrid. The new Honda City e:HEV is available at Rs 19.53 lakh (ex-showroom), and a 15% flat discount will bring its price down by Rs 2.9 lakh. The new Hnda City e:HEV features an Atkinson Cycle 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors promising a mileage of 26.5kmpl. The gasoline unit produces a peak power of 98bhp and with electric assistance it makes 109bhp. Its combined torque output stands at 253Nm. The hybrid sedan is available with a single, fixed-gear ratio and three drive modes – Engine, EV and Hybrid.
