Tata Motors has introduced the updated Tigor EV for the fleet buyers. With the mid-life update, the compact electric sedan has received a new nameplate – Tata Xpres-T EV. Official bookings will soon be commenced across the nation. The carmaker confirms that the new ‘XPRES’ brand will “introduce smarter, future-ready mobility solutions” to serve the special demands of fleet customers. – The Xpres-T EV (2021 Tata Tigor EV facelift) will continue to come in two trims – XM+ and XT+ – with Standard and Extended Range specs.
– While the Standard version will feature a 16.5kWh battery pack, the Extended range variant will have a larger 21.5kWh battery pack.
– The batteries will supply power to a 70V three-phase induction motor making power worth 41bhp and 105Nm of torque.
– The carmaker extended range model will offer an ARAI-certified range of 213km on a full charge and the standard version will promise a range of 165km (which is 22km more than the previous model).
– The 2021 Tata Tigor EV facelift takes 90 minutes (Standard) and 110 minutes (Extended Range) to get charged up to 80% via a fast charger.
– The Tata Xpres-T EV will offer 14-inch steel wheels, LED taillamps, power windows, automatic climate control, a Harman-sourced audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, Eco and Sport drive modes, ABS (anti-lock braking system), dual airbags and rear parking sensors as standard fitments. – The top-end XT+ trim is exclusively offered with remote locking, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and 14-inch alloy wheels.
– Talking about the cosmetic updates, the Tata Xpres-T EV (2021 Tata Tigor EV facelift) features an enclosed grille with the tri-arrow pattern. Now, it gets a grille integrated charging socket. The Blue touches highlight its electric character.
– No changes have been made to its interior. Its cabin layout and features are exactly similar to the standard Tigor XM+ and XT+ trims.
