The new TVS Apache RR 310 accelerates to 60kmph from zero in just 2.63 seconds before hitting a top speed of 165kmph

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch its fastest production motorcycle – TVS Apache RR 310 in India on December 6, 2018. Ahead of its official launch, technical details of the fully-faired motorcycle have been leaked on social media. The Facebook post claims that the new Apache RR310 will be India’s first ever motorcycle to sport a reverse inclined engine.

The air filter has been positioned on the top of the engine. Additionally, the reverse inclined engine gets cooled more effectively, which reduces engine heating during traffic. The new motorcycle is based on Trellis frame, which is claimed to be lighter, stronger and flexible. The engine in question is the same 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit that also powers the BMW G310R and G310 GS. The report further suggests that the new motorcycle accelerates to 60kmph from standstill in just 2.63 second. It is claimed to hit a top speed of 165kmph. The bike will come in two paint jobs – Red & Blue/Black and features dual LED projector lamps ON. It is likely to deliver around 25-30kmpl of mileage. The bike also comes with dual channel total control ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). For suspension duties, the TVS Apache RR 310 gets USD forks in front and monoshock at the rear. Going by the spy images, it is visible that the fully-faired motorcycle gets a completely new matte black finish. The bike rides on 17-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels finished in black and are shod with Michelin tyres. Talking about features, the TVS Apache RR 310 gets upright clip-on handlebars, a large windscreen, LED headlights and rear-set foot pegs.
