Volkswagen Polo Matt Edition has finally been launched in the country. Based on the range-topping GT TSI variant, the new special edition has been priced at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s around Rs 25,000 more expensive than the Highline Plus AT variant. Interested buyers can book the vehicle by paying an initial sum of Rs 5,000. The Polo becomes the first vehicle in its segment to come in Matt colour scheme. It has matte grey finish with glossy black inserts on door handles, ORVMs, rear spoiler and bumper skirt. While the alloy wheels continue to come in brushed silver colour, the ‘GT TSI’ badging gets matte grey finish. Similar to the regular model, the new Volkswagen Polo Matt Edition has Black and Grey interior theme.
The new Polo Matt Edition list of features include all equipment offered on the standard GT TSI variant including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ambient lights, a flat-bottom steering wheel, automatic AC unit, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers. Its safety kit includes dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control, auto dimming interior rear view mirror, rear parking sensors and anti pinch power windows. Under the hood, the new Volkswagen Polo Matt Edition continues to feature the 1.0L turbo petrol engine that does duty in the regular Polo GT. The motor pushes out a peak power of 110bhp and 175Nm of torque. It can be had with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Just like the regular Polo GT, the Matt Edition is capable to go 0 to 100kmph in 10.79 seconds.
